Research topics in Maeda laboratory are about mechanical characteristics
of spatially expanded structures. A remarkable feature of our research is a combination of analytical study based on continuum mechanics and
experimental verification based on such as micro-tremor observation. Present
research topics include modeling of earth's subsurface structure based on elastic wave propagation, simulation of collapse process of reinforced concrete shell structures, and mechanical modeling and collapse simulation of masonry heritage structures.
